Ship Ahoy!

We are getting close to full sailing again fairly soon. No more sneaking down to your local water under the guise of ‘exercise’. Here’s hoping that the swans, ducks, weed etc have been looking after ‘our’ lake, so we can get out there for some serious boating.

We will be at ‘Wings and Wheels’ at North Weald this June, so come along and say ‘Hello’. we don’t bite. Well, most of us don’t.

Still in dry dock!

By now, we have lost almost a year’s sailing and monthly club meetings. Like everyone else, our club activities have ceased. Hopefully, the time stopping at home has resulted in a few new boats ready for the water. Unfortunately, taking a boat or two down to your local water does not count as ‘exercise’. At the time of writing, mid Feb 21, things are starting to look a bit brighter for us all. So, get those boats prepped ready and in the not too distant future we can once again be sociable ‘sailor’s.

Club member in print!

In the May 2020 issue of Model Boats magazine, on pages 34/35 you will see the wonderful boat created by club member Dave Goodhand. It is a completely scratch built model of a Kerela houseboat with a lot of detail work including lighting and music for that added touch. Well done Dave.

Lockdown Covid 19

Along with all other outdoor activities, we will not be having our regular monthly meetings and sail days until further notice. Come back to us when this terrible time is over and stay safe in the meantime.

Invitation

We have been invited to attend the Open Weekend hosted by Northampton & District Model Boat Club. This to be over the 27th & 28th June 2020. Further details on their website www.ndmbc.co.uk.
